You are under age 35 and served for less than 20 years. As your DFRDB scheme closed to new members in 1991, very few members fall into group A.
If you choose to stay in the ADF until retirement age (generally 55), you will be entitled to retirement pay at the higher levels offered for your rank.
For further information, please view groups B to F.
You must plan for retirement entirely through other sources. With time on your side, you can plan ahead and take the right action for your situation and needs.
- Preserve your benefit in DFRDB
- Receive a refund of your contributions
- Roll over your small productivity benefit until retirement.
You cannot re-join DFRDB. If you re-enter the ADF, you can join MilitarySuper.
