You are age 35 to 45 and served for 20 to 30 years. You will be entitled to retirement pay at the higher levels offered for your rank. And although relatively young, you may have already qualified to receive retirement pay if you wish.

Discharge options

Carefully consider your career options, with transition seminars available. If you leave the ADF, you are likely to need additional super savings to supplement your current DFRDB entitlement – which is unlikely to be enough on its own.

Resignation options

Your current retirement pay options are shown on your Member Statement. You should also consider professional financial advice for your situation including tax needs.
