Withdraw your benefit
If you are made redundant, you may not be eligible to receive retirement pay from DFRDB. You receive a lump sum refund of your contributions, plus a gratuity if applicable. Please use our:

You are eligible for retirement pay if made redundant on non-medical grounds with 20 years or more effective service or 15 years or more effective service and reached your retiring age for your rank (usually age 55). Your retirement pay will be paid fortnightly for the rest of your life (unless you re-enter), starting the day after you discharge from the Defence Force.
